The first in our Guest Lecture series on The Digital Scoop features Jason Stewart of Aberdeen International Airport, as he introduces his current role as e-Commerce and Digital Manager at the airport. Jason talks about the hot topic of GDPR, the General Data Protection Regulations that come into place in May 2018, and addresses data security and the effects that the new regulations will have on businesses. Jason also discusses eCRM (electronic customer relationship management), and how data can be used to create content that is tailored and timed to suit the audience for the greatest impact.
Jason’s advice for students looking to get into the industry:
“Have an insatiable appetite to learn new things, and don’t be afraid to challenge the norm when it comes to justifying new digital approaches.”
