One of the most exciting aspects of the MSc Digital Marketing programme is the course’s links with agencies and clients, which bridges the gaps between academia and the business world. Projects, a class field trip, as well as internship opportunities, are some of the activities that the programme offers in collaboration with some great partners.
The aim of Digital Marketing partnerships at RGU is to offer students an overall experience of working on real industry projects and get to the heart of digital marketing agency life. RGU Digital Marketing industry opportunities enable students to implement skills and knowledge that have been taught throughout the course. They also gain real time experience of actual digital marketing problems.
In addition, the RGU Digital Marketing partnerships enable students to find out where their strengths lie and to acquire the knowledge required to work in the real world. This lets students explore the different disciplines that exist and decide which areas suit them best. Furthermore, the programme allows students to talk with digital mentors and get advice on how to work effectively when they start on their digital career.
“The report we received from the students was first class and as a direct consequence we made changes as recommended to us. This has now seen us offer a much better service to our customers, and an easier way to navigate the website, as well as using the excellent advice to improve our social media presence.”
– Bryan Snelling, Executive Director, The Gordon Highlanders Museum
“It was a real pleasure spending time with an impressive group of students in a modern, industry-focused environment. Of particular note was one group solving a problem the same way that has been done in the industry.”
– Mark McAulay, Creative Director, Mearns & Gill
“The pupils of RGU MSc Digital Marketing provided me with in-depth reports on my websites/social media marketing with points on where I could improve matters. I’d highly recommend anyone given the opportunity to take part to get involved.”
– Mungo Finlayson, Scuba Duba Dive
“The marketing students from RGU provided my business with great insights into improvements that could be made to our marketing approach. Having the input of multiple students gave broader consideration and a variety of approaches from which we were free to decide which to implement. The students’ work was thorough and I was contacted on a regular schedule, which kept me apprised of their progress.”
– Andi Ramsay, Developing Perception
