A unique feature of RGU’s MSc is a digital marketing mentorship programme with DigitasLBi, a global marketing and technology agency with 40 offices worldwide, one of which is in my beautiful hometown, Edinburgh.
The mentorship scheme, now in its second year, is part of our collaboration with industry throughout Scotland, and DigitasLBi have been playing a key role over the last year in supporting our efforts to produce digital marketing graduates that have the skills employers need – there is a digital skills gap after all, and I passionately believe that both industry and academia have a role to play in addressing this gap!
Last week I went to meet, greet and onboard our new mentors, who will buddy the MSc Digital Marketing students through their first semester. I was excited to meet them in their Edinburgh office in Renton, a room dear to my heart (I am an ex-Leither!).
They’re a great bunch and passionate about sharing their experiences and coaching aspiring digital marketers. Their contribution will be invaluable in developing students into professionals, feeding the digital talent pipeline across Scotland and globally.
